Scandinavia has long been a breeding ground for world-class musical talent, particularly within the melodic rock and AOR genres. Continuing this proud legacy, Falköping, Sweden’s THE DEVIL WEARS NADA emerges as a compelling new force on the scene. Rooted in the golden era of melodic hard rock - from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s, the band skillfully blends nostalgic eighties sensibilities with a bold, modern edge, drawing inspiration from theatrical icons like Alice Cooper, Ghost, and Lordi.

“Postalgia began as my escape during the pandemic, an outlet when the world felt upside down,” shares drummer and founding member Ludvig Alfvén. “It took two years, twenty-three demos, and a whole lot of trial and error before we landed on the definitive version. This record is the heartbeat of who we are.”

THE DEVIL WEARS NADA merges the arena-ready melodies of Scandinavian AOR with a love for horror aesthetics and vintage hard rock energy. Their dynamic debut album, Postalgia, is a powerful statement of intent - fusing vintage melodic rock with eerie, cinematic flair. Packed with high-octane anthems, haunting melodies, and storytelling steeped in theatrical drama, Postalgia channels the spirit of classic AOR while confidently carving out a sound that is uniquely their own. Fans of Da Vinci, Alien, 220 Volt, Dalton, FM, and others will feel right at home, yet Postalgia offers something refreshingly new for the next generation of melodic hard rock enthusiasts.

Guitarist Henrik Westergren describes the band’s sound as “a melting pot of ‘seventies and eighties’ influences paired with our shared obsession with eerie, theatrical storytelling.” “It’s Ludvig’s songwriting sensibility mixed with our collective love for the bizarre and dramatic,” Henrik adds. “It creates something that’s both familiar and unsettling - in the best way possible.”

Bassist/vocalist Fredrik Svensson Carlström, who also co-produced the album, recalls unconventional recording conditions that helped shape the album’s raw sonic edge: “Some of the biggest sounds were recorded in what could only be described as a grungy wasteland. But that rawness gave the album its punch.”

The album’s remastered edition - previously released in an ultra-limited run of just 100 CDs under the name Adecence - the album gets a full-scale revival through Eönian Records rebranded under THE DEVIL WEARS NADA, remixed & remastered, complete with two brand-new studio tracks, including a cover of Nestor’s “1989,” and a deluxe booklet featuring exclusive artwork and liner notes.

Partnering with Eönian Records marked a major milestone for the band: “Ryan and Stephen at Eonian just got it from the start,” says Ludvig. “They understood the heart of this record and gave us a home where our vision could thrive.”

“They’ve crafted a sound that blends melodic rock and classic hard rock effortlessly,” says Ryan Northrop, Eönian Records. “Sharp, vibrant, and totally addictive - Postalgia is one of the standout hard rock albums of 2025.”

Stephen Craig, Eönian Records, adds: “THE DEVIL WEARS NADA are not only incredibly talented - but they are also some of the most dedicated and down-to-earth artists we have ever worked with. BIG things are coming from this band.”

Henrik adds, “We are beyond grateful. This album is the result of relentless hours, countless takes, and real passion. It means everything to have a label that honestly believes in what we are doing.”
